Prayer for Our Country
Dear Heavenly Father,
We are moved by the alarming news and crisis that our
country is facing. This, the greatest nation, founded in
the belief that "In God We Trust" & the "Land of the
Free". Please have mercy on those suffering, hurting
and in fear, and give wisdom & strength to those who
are assisting.
May the forces of evil be broken by your power and may we
humble before thee, our strength and refuge. Give wisdom
to our President & our Leaders and bring Your comforting
peace through the power of your Holy Spirit. Help us here to
reach to those that have been affected by this tragedy.
In the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
AMEN.

I walked a mile with gladness
She chattered all the way
But left me none the wiser
For all she had to say.
I walked a mile with sorrow
And ne'er a word said she
But oh, the things I learned from her
When sorrow walked with me.

The attacks on September 11, 2001 hit us hard and left
us in shock, grief, prayer and reflection. This is still the land
of the free and the home of the brave but our resolve has
been shaken. We are strong and united and full of many
heroes. I've always been proud to be an American!
Neighboring countries have shown us their friendship,
support, love and prayers. This keeps us
strong and we shall survive.

FALLEN CHAPLAIN. New York Firefighters and
rescue workers carry fatally injured fire chaplain
Franciscan Fr. Mychal Judge from the wreckage of the
World Trade Center.

GRIEF. Members of the New York Fire Department
pay their last respects to the Rev. Mychal Judge. The
chaplain was killed while administering last rites.

PRAYERS. Pope John Paul II bows his head
during prayers to commemorate the victims of the Sept 11
attacks on the United States. The Pope called the
attacks a dark day in the history of humanity.

RESCUERS. Rescue Personnel stand near a last
piece of the wall of the World Trade Center in New York.

HEALING. Military members salute as fire and
rescue workers hang an American Flag from the roof of
the Pentagon. The Pentagon was one of the three
attacked U.S. landmarks on Sept 11, 2001.

"March On"
To see the towers fall
dropping us to our knees
devastion has hit us all
true test for humanity.
March on, march on...
Innocent people die
leave behind families
so can you tell me why
is it power, religion or greed.
March on, march on...
We've got to stop them now
it's scary to think about
when will the fighting end
it's time without a doubt.
March on, march on...
So put your hand in mine
praying together as one
the sun will always shine
it's hard to believe some how.
March on, march on....
We'll never be the same
but we shall over come
no time to spare the rod
fighting for freedom.
March on, march on...
[This is a song written by Steve Adair.]
